Its Wednesday

Haven’t posted in awhile… ohhh well…

So I’ve come down with my throat infection thingy again. I really need to carve out some time next year to have my tonsils removed. With the new job I get some more vacation and might be able to take some of it under the “unlimited personal/sick” days policy but I’d have to check with HR.

Needless to say this throat thing has me pretty much out of it. I’m using some anti-biotics that I stole from mom but tonight is my last dose so I”ll have to hit up the pharmacy known as mom later this week. Hopefully she’ll have something for me because since I’m on my 90 day probation period at work I can’t take any sick days or be late or anything. With all that said, it means I have not been up early to take shadow for a walk. I was up on sunday and monday and did it both days, but once I got hit with this full on, I couldn’t do it.

Monday the alarm people came and setup everything in the house. YAY. So no more trying to break into my house cause the alarm will go off.

Shadow is being really weird latley. He has been really rambunctious and just wanting to play all the time. Then he doesn’t want to sleep through the night anymore, saying he needs to go out at like 3am but he really doesn’t. I can only attribute it to him not getting enough exercise throughout the day. No big yard means he doesn’t have room to run around, and its not just a simple as getting outside and throwing a toy around (all 5 minutes of it) it means you have to take him on a walk and just not a short one, but a nice long one. This presents a problem because once I get home its dark, and I’m tired, and walking around certain parts of the neighborhood at night probably isn’t a good idea. Which is why Jess and I are gonna try to rent out the TH and grab another property. Not sure how long that is gonna take, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Heroes came out on Monday. I have to say that I enjoyed the episode but was kinda disappointed where they are taking the show with Peter. But we’ll just have to see where the show develops.

Yesterday was the season premier of House and Boston Legal. I could only DVR one of them so we chose Boston Legal and we’ll have to catch House on the internet or re-run which is a bummer. Or we could upgrade to another DVR for the bedroom but I really don’t see that much need for just one show costing us $10 a month. Today comes the second episode of the new “Kelsey Grammer” show at either 8 or 9. Also we have Bionic Women coming out tonight. I have that all setup to DVR so maybe this weekend while Jess is singing at her concert I can catch that. Of course, Smallville premiers tomorrow and I can’t wait to catch that season. I have a feeling though that this will be the last season for them.

So one another topic, I have been really interested in these Escape the Room games recently. Pretty much any free chance I get I try to load one up and see how well I can do. They were all fun, and they all make you think. They even have some built in traps to make you thing wrong in order to solve the puzzles. If anyone knows of any other good ones out there, please let me know, I would love to try them. I have found a couple other sites that had some, but most were in Japaneses so I didn’t really try to do them

Mel bailed on me for lunch today….. Evil Mel…. Naw I’m just kidding, although she did bail on me, shes not evil. I’m sick so I didn’t really feel like hitting up a restaurant for lunch anyways ya know? Her birthday is Sunday so I gotta get her a card or something.

Same Bat Time Same Bat Channel

So here we are again. Its that point in the day at work when things are winding down, and I find myself trying to find things to do until the day ends. Gotta love the slower pace of things huh? At least at NAI I could end up with some phone calls, I don’t even get that here… Its just a constent waiting game.

So I’ve got a BIG announcement for all of my good old friends. Ready????? Huh huh huh huh huh? Jess and I finally got a home phone. I havn’t confirmed the phone number with verizon until I get home tonight and actually see the phone ring. We all know how much I hate posting phone numbers online so I won’t be posting in anywhere in my blog. If you want it, give me a ring or a text message or something and I’ll give it to you.

The Security system gets installed on Monday. YAY for a security system. So no more trying to break into my house in the middle of the night or the cops will show up… At least that is the plan, I don’t plan on testing the system to see how long the cops take so I hope I never know. The good news about this is I will save a bunch of money on my home owners insurance. YAY!.

Wedding is coming up in 1month from today. Ohhhh, Ahhhh, that should be fun. The tickets for the honeymoon have arrived and now its just a matter of me and jess heading to the travel agent to pick up the tickets and stuff. In case your wondering, shadow is staying with Jessica’s grandmother who might be staying at our house, but might not… I don’t know, but what I do know, is that shadow will be safe and happy, and probably his usual, on crack self. (Man that dog is too hyper).

So with this new shift I was thinking of hitting up a walk with the dog in the morning every morning to help him have less energy throughout the day and also help me start my day earlier so that I can get more stuff during the day. (I have alot of PS2 games that I need to play… LOL). So far at day 1 it didn’t happen. I’ll try again tomorrow and we’ll see how it all plays out.

Mel’s birthday is a whole 10 days away. YAY Mels birthday. I believe she is turning 24…. I don’t know what I’m going to get her, but I’m already getting texts from her asking what my parents gave me this year so she can expect the same. What ever happened to surprise man?

I guess that is all for now. My blog views are up to 19 this week.. Ohhh Ahhh… for a total of 220. I guess that means I”m posting more now that I have more time to goof off at work… Fun stuff.

Behold!!!! An update before an entire week has passed.. Ohhh Ahhhh.

Anyways, nothing much is going on here. Getting closer to the end…. In case you don’t know what the end is, check out this This Link I figure you gotta have a sense of humor when it comes to that stuff…

Nothing is really going on. This weekend was pretty normal. We gave shadow more of the run of the house. He can now get upstairs, but just not in any of the rooms. I gotta file some stuff in the office before he can have access to that room, and he tends to get into too much stuff in my room so that is out of the question for now. Sorry I havn’t posted new pictures recently. I’m going to hopefully get a chance this weekend to take some new pictures and then upload them, and post them to the site. Its just time consuming and I’d like to be doing other stuff then uploading pictures I guess.

Fourth week at the new job is going alright. Got my new business cards, and stationary. Ohhh Ahhh Ehhhh. Finally got my DA rights back which is nice because now I can actually do my job and help the team out more. Good news is I don’t have to deal with traffic anymore on the drive in because I’m working 10:30 to 7. Bad news is I would have prefered 6:30 to 3:00 but thats alright. When I gain some senority or something maybe I can move to an earlier shift. I would prefer the guys who have kids and stuff get home to have some time to spend with their families and kids instead of not getting to see them or spend time with them.

Well I guess that is all for now… no random outcries about bloggers or any of that BS this time… maybe next time.

Today

Well looks like I finally got my bluetooth up and working on my laptop in a way so that any audio on my laptop gets redirected to my bluetooth. Pretty nice since now I can crank up my music at work without distubing everyone. Plus they all believe I’m wearing it just because I have my phones hooked up. The final benefit? The ability to walk away from my desk for like 200 feet without losing my music. You can’t do that with headphones man and I got the bluetooth shit for free. Rock On!

Nothing really going on today. No real rants for you like yesterday, just the usual BS about traffic and such. I got paid today, which for a person who has been getting paid monthly…. it is an interesting change to move to semi-monthly and see half of your money half way through the month.

Now if anyone here knows anything about checkpointing / restoring when it comes to dumping process information please do send me a message. BTW I have already googled it, and no I’m not talking about windows xp restores points. This one is a little more complex. I was hoping to write a program for windows that would let you dump all your current running information to a hard drive and then when your ready to launch everything again right where you left off, you can restore the checkpoint. Linux has a bunch of apps that do it, but of course windows blows chunks.

I changed my name to Leet Speak today. If you don’t know what that is… Check out Wiki’s article on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet. Why I changed it I don’t know, but I figured I was bored so why not.

also on a side note…. MYSpace choice of music that you can search when posting a “What your listening too… sucks ass… major ass”. They don’t have any of the good stuff… I couldn’t find the new Linkin Park album, or the Sixx:AM Heroin Diaries album…. Maybe its just me searching for the song title…. who knows.

June 26th 2006

June 26th 2006 was the last time I wrote a personal note to myself and just myself.  After that on June 29th I got a Live Journal… Then I got a myspace….  Here is a quick part of the posting from June 26th:

Someone once told me, live your life for the present, forget the future, and learn from the past.  Mainly telling me that if you try to live for tomorrow you miss
today, if you forget the past you are destined to repeat it, and that
you should focus on each day one at a time.  Personally I think it was
some good advice, a little hard to follow sometimes though.

Interesting what you are thinking when no one else is around huh?  The question that always bugs me with how the internet has grown and bloggers have become huge is are we writing to sooth our souls and vent our frustrations of life like so many have done in the past with the hope of no one ever seeing the thoughts, only something to look back upon and remember?  Or are we writing with the hope that readers will come along, post, and talk about what we wrote?  Has this all just become another way for people to get attention?

Ever remember the simpler days when myspace and facebook, and livejournal didn’t exist?  If you wanted to post your thoughts you did it in a book with a lock on it and good hiding place.  Now everyone feels the need to express their right to freedom of speech and expression in hopes of becoming the next 15 min segment on cnn or the next Don Imus…. (If you don’t know who Don Imus is…. Google it).

Tonight I’m just wondering about the simpler times.  You didn’t write hoping people would read it, and talk to you about it, you wrote because you really just needed someone to listen who wasn’t really listening.  Someone who wouldn’t say anything and just let you vent.

Now with the internet so big, we sit here and listen to PODCasts that random people post, and how people put their lives on the internet for all to see.  Then it is these same people that bitch when their identity gets stolen, or then end up some victim in a stalker case or even worse.  Then they start exclaiming “Why did this happen to me…..” and they honestly have no clue.. It never reached their minds that during their quest for the 15 minutes of frame, some freak show could latch on and not let go.

People urge to express themselves so much nowadays, standing behind their right to expression and speech, yet half the people in the world can’t even tell you where that freedom came from or why we even have it.  If you don’t believe me, check out Jay Lenos “Street Talk” segments.

Not what I intended this post to be….  but hey thats what it turned into….. my good old right to free speech.
